The
first thing I do before I wash my rig is to hose down all of the tires
and wheels.
They
I get out my scrub brush. Get a good brush with a handle on it at your
neighbor hood grocery store in the cleaning section.
Pour
Ajax onto a wet scrub brush and go back and forth over your white letters
first if you have your letters turned out.
After
the letters are clean, I put more Ajax on the brush and then do the black
walls.
I
let it sit on the tire for a few minutes while I move on to the next tire.
I
can't recommend using anything but original Ajax Cleansing powder.
I
have tried the Comet before, and simply put, it doesn't foam up as good.
Stop
by a fire station some time, and ask the guy's that are proud of their
fire trucks what they use to clean their tires with, and more than likely,
it will be Ajax.
After
doing two tires, I then spray them off. Then I take some of Wesley's Bleach
White and spray the tires and let it sit on for a few minutes.
This
stuff is harsh, so don't breath the vapor or spray if possible.
The
Bleach White also works real good on the white lettering on the back of
your rear Toyota mud flaps.
After
the rig has been washed, and the wheels have been washed by hand, I use
that spray that is meant to clean wheels.
I
am currently using Meguiar's Hot Shots wheel cleaner, and it seems to work
O.K.
I
use this stuff to get into the crevices that I can't get into with my wash
mitt.
I
also have used Eagle One's
Aluminum
Wash, and it's very good stuff.
After
I have dried off my rig, and wiped down all of the door jams, I break out
the Meguiar's
Endurance Tire Gel. This stuff is good! I use the High Gloss one, as
it goes on easier than the first Endurance that came out.
This
stuff will last almost 3 weeks if you don't get the tires too wet from
driving through the rain.
I
can wash my rig on the weekend, and the tires will still look super black
and with the wet look a week later.
I
can't go on how good this stuff works. I do however have to take a towel
and wipe down my sides a bit after driving a short ways, as the Endurance
will fling off the tires a bit.
For polishing my aluminum wheels, I like the "Billet Polish" made by Eagle One Products. It does a real good job on my Centerlines, and this is also what Centerline recommended I use on them.
